Programming Manager
Who the role reports to

Vice President of Finance and Technical Services

This role has a direct impact on profitability by providing leadership in the programming department to ensure projects are completed on time and on-budget.

What the role does

This role acts as both the manager of the programming team as well as spending time performing programming duties for projects, whilst also liaising with other key departments (including but not limited to engineering, sales, client services, and installation).

Provides key leadership to programmers in an effort to ensure all projects are completed on time, on-budget and able to deliver a superior client experience (hire, coaching, performance management, project assignment). 40% ■ People Leadership

Performs control systems programming including UI development, module development, coding, and service to install and/or debug. 40% ■ Coding and programming
■ Attention to detail
Liaises with other departments to solidify project plans, ensure proper documentation, and provide estimates for budgeting on the work required. 20% ■ Strong communication skills

Education or experience required
  • High school diploma required; preferred degree in computer sciences 
  • 5+ years experience with control system programming and/or electronic system integration
